“Hundreds of Voices. One Church. One Hymn”: The Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Holds a Festival of Parish Choirs
ZhyveTV has announced the launch of a church-wide festival of UGCC parish choirs, bringing together choir members both in person and online. The organizers expect hundreds of choir members to participate and aim to set a new Ukrainian record with a joint performance.
For three years, Zhyve TV has been hosting a parish choir competition. Its goal has been to promote and support church singing in the parishes of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. This year, the format is changing to a festival in order to bring together as many parish choirs as possible for a single joint performance.
Applications and video recordings of performances will be accepted through September 15. The festival finale will take place on October 3 in Kyiv, both in person and online.

“Sing! We may not always realize the significance of singing in church. Everyone who sings becomes the voice of the whole world. Through your voice, the whole world speaks to God,” urged His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Father and Head of the UGCC.
