On February 2, the day of the Presentation of the Lord, and on February 4, two charity events were held at the parish of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Kharkiv: a handicraft fair and a sweet buffet. The events were organized by the parish youth community, though anyone who cared could also join in making crafts or baking treats, the press service of the Kharkiv Exarchate of the UGCC reports.

The funds raised at the fairs were transferred to the Ukrainian Legion “Kharkiv,” where the young men from the parish serve devotedly.

“We thank everyone who joined the initiative and contributed to a good cause! Supporting our military is crucial to us,” says Anastasia Remizova, co-organizer of the events.

It is worth saying that the Cathedral of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Kharkiv has served as a humanitarian hub since the first days of the war. Every week, humanitarian aid is distributed to war victims here. Moreover, parishioners volunteer to weave camouflage nets and make trench candles.
