Military chaplain Fr. Maksym Krolevsky notes this achievement was made possible not only by the efforts of the faithful in Poltava but also by Ukrainians and UGCC faithful living on different continents of the world.

Since the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war in 2014, the parish has consistently donated various types of vehicles to the military, including buses, pickup trucks, and SUVs. Funds were raised both within the parish community and externally, with contributions from people around the world.

The head of the church committee of the Holy Trinity Church of the UGCC, Mr. Yevhen Khailov, said that this time, the Poltava parish supported the air defense forces. “All the vehicles will be transferred to the regiment of anti-aircraft missile troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” he stated. “Our defenders will use them to fight air targets, to protect and defend the Ukrainian sky.”

Parishioners of the Holy Trinity Church are sending many other vehicles to the frontline for soldiers of various branches of the military.
