On February 20, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, together with the bishops of the Permanent Synod of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, visited the nursing home of the Sisters Servants in Prudentópolis, Brazil. Currently, 20 elderly sisters reside there.

During the meeting, His Beatitude Sviatoslav thanked the sisters for their many years of devoted service to the Church and the people, carried out during their active pastoral ministry, as well as for their present mission — continuous prayer for Ukraine, for victory, and for a just peace.

“The Church remembers you,” the Primate told the sisters. “We are sincerely grateful to you for your longstanding service to your Church, and we rejoice in the fruits of your dedication, seeing how the Church in Brazil continues to grow and flourish.”

The members of the Permanent Synod, led by His Beatitude Sviatoslav, visited the sisters to express their gratitude for their years of service and for their spiritual support and prayers during the ongoing war in Ukraine.
