Pope Francis meets with UGCC youth priests in the Vatican

The responsible for youth pastoral care in the UGCC arrived in the Vatican on a working visit in preparation for the participation of Ukrainian boys and girls in the World Youth Day in Lisbon.

These days, representatives of the UGCC Commission on Youth Affairs are on a working visit to the Vatican. The members of the delegation, headed by the head of the Commission, Fr. Rostyslav Pendyuk, had meetings at the Dicastery for the Laity, Family, and Life to prepare for the participation of Ukrainians in World Youth Day, which will be held in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon from August 1 to 6, 2023.

On Wednesday, April 5, 2023, the priests took part in a general audience with Pope Francis, after which they had the opportunity to talk to him about the situation of young people in Ukraine and the importance of their pilgrimage to Lisbon.
