On June 10, a Donetsk Exarchate catechists gathering was held at St. Nicholas Parish in Dnipro.

Meeting of catechists of Donetsk Exarchate took place in Dnipro

The day began with a Divine Liturgy led by Fr. Vasyl Panteliuk. Subsequently, the participants discussed current affairs, challenges, and plans. The seminars of the Patriarchal Catechetical Commission also shared their impressions. The event was held in a hybrid format, thanks to which catechists currently staying in Zakarpattia, Kyiv, and other regions of Ukraine joined via video.

Bishop Stepan Meniok, Exarch of Donetsk, later joined the meeting and spoke to the audience, giving valuable advice and guidance for further ministry for existing catechists and a successful start for beginners.

The deputy head of the Patriarchal Commission, Mr. Nazar Duda, emphasized the importance of the ongoing formation of the catechist. He spoke about the various training programs offered by the Catechetical-Pedagogical Institute of UCU for those who want to engage in the spiritual education of children or adults or for those who wish to deepen their knowledge and spirituality.

At the end of the meeting, the catechists visited our Armenian friends, who gave them a tour of their church and educational center.
