This was reported by the Youth Commission of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Spain.

Together with thousands of young people from across Spain, the participants joined in prayer during the vigil led by the Holy Father. During the event, Sofia Kohut, a Ukrainian representative, religious sister, and participant in Christian youth camps in Spain, recited a prayer together with Pope Leo XIV and had the opportunity to ask him to pray for Ukraine.

The following day, the Ukrainian youth participated in the Holy Mass celebrated by Pope Leo XIV. The shared intention of the Ukrainian pilgrims was to pray for peace in Ukraine.

Young Ukrainians from León, Lleida, Guissona, Tàrrega, Dénia, Madrid, and other cities traveled to the Spanish capital to take part in the events. The pilgrimage was coordinated by the Youth Commission of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Spain in cooperation with Ukrainian Youth for Christ in Spain and the Ukrainian Youth Association in Spain (SUM-Spain).

According to the participants, the days spent in Madrid became a time of prayer, unity, and mutual support. Taking part in Eucharistic Adoration and praying together with Pope Leo XIV was a particularly meaningful spiritual experience.
