Two Requests from His Beatitude Sviatoslav on the 15th Anniversary of His Patriarchate
On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of his enthronement, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, addressed the faithful with two special requests.
He spoke about this in an interview with Zhyve TV.
His Beatitude Sviatoslav’s first appeal concerns prayer. The Patriarch emphasized that the strength of the Head of the Church depends on the prayerful support of the entire community of believers.
“The Head of the Church reflects the kind of Church he leads. And he can do only as much as his spiritual strength allows, which depends on the prayers of the Church and the community of believers. Today, we bear a heavy burden,” noted His Beatitude Sviatoslav.
The Primate called on everyone to follow a simple practice of prayer: “I ask you to pray for me, a sinner, even if it is just the ‘Our Father’ once a day. And then we will move mountains, because God’s strength will be with us.”
In response to numerous questions about how best to mark this 15th anniversary of his patriarchate, the Head of the Church asked that all resources be directed toward supporting Zhyve TV: “Please contribute all your gifts as a donation to support our Zhyve TV. Don’t buy me anything, don’t send me anything… Support our Zhyve TV, which today enables the voice of the Head of the Church to reach every corner of the globe.”
The Patriarch reminded everyone that donations can be made in a very simple way using QR codes or bank details, which are available on all official Church resources and Zhyve TV media platforms.
