The Three Saints Seminary in Kyiv Hosts the Inauguration of Knights of Columbus Officers and Delegates
On August 31, following the Divine Liturgy at the Three Saints Seminary in Kyiv, a ceremony was held to induct the national officers and regional delegates of the National Council of the Knights of Columbus in Ukraine. His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, prayed for them and bestowed his blessing.

He began with a prayer of blessing:
“Gracious Father, bless the Knights and their families, especially the national officers and regional delegates of the Ukrainian National Council of the Knights of Columbus, who have gathered here to renew their dedication to You and to be inducted into their respective offices, receiving their service awards. We pray that, with Your grace and guidance, these leaders may grow in wisdom and understanding, courage and unity, teaching others to generously sacrifice their time and talents for the glory of Your holy name and the good of all people.”
Afterward, His Beatitude blessed the awards, and 14 officers and delegates—led by the national delegate of the Knights of Columbus in Ukraine, Br. Mykola Mostovyak—were formally inducted into office.
Br. Mykola expressed his gratitude to His Beatitude Sviatoslav for supporting the Knights of Columbus in Ukraine and also thanked Bishop Mykhailo Bubniy, Exarch of Odesa and National Chaplain of the Knights of Columbus in Ukraine.
The ceremony concluded with a prayer by Bishop Mykhailo:
“Holy Father, we thank You for the graces You have bestowed upon us. We thank You for the spirit of cooperation and brotherhood that has prevailed among us, and we ask that this unity continue throughout the year. We humbly beg You to bless the efforts of our national officers and regional delegates, who have been duly appointed to office. Bless the work of all our brother Knights and their families, who will serve devotedly and selflessly for the good of the Order and our Church under the leadership of these men and those they represent.”
In his closing words, His Beatitude Sviatoslav expressed gratitude to Bishop Mykhailo for his spiritual guidance of the Knights, noting their steady growth in number. He also highlighted that the Knights of Columbus in Ukraine had recently been honored in the United States with an award recognizing their fruitful development in Greek Catholic parishes.
