On the final day, following lunch, the bishops gathered in the meeting hall, where Archbishop Ihor Vozniak, Metropolitan of Lviv, thanked His Beatitude Sviatoslav for his leadership of both the Church and the Synod. Bishop Andriy Khimyak, Secretary of the Synod, expressed his gratitude to the Synod Secretariat staff, Zhyve Television, and the rector, students, and staff of the Ukrainian Pontifical College of St. Josaphat for their dedication and hard work in ensuring the Synod’s success. He also thanked the retreat master, Fr. Taras Babiy, for his spiritual reflections during the Synod and presented him with an icon of the Holy Family.

Afterward, accompanied by the singing of “Abide among us, Christ, abide among us,” the bishops, together with the Head of the Church, processed from the meeting hall to the chapel of St. Josaphat, where they sang Ukraine’s spiritual hymn, “God, Great and One.”

As is tradition, the youngest bishops carried the candle and the Holy Gospel in the procession: Bishop Michael Smolinski of the Eparchy of Saskatoon, Bishop Michael Kwiatkowski of the Eparchy of New Westminster, and Bishop Volodymyr Firman, Auxiliary Bishop of the Eparchy of Ternopil-Zboriv.
