The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Meets with Representatives of the Ukrainian Community in Italy
On April 25, during his visit to Italy, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with representatives of the Ukrainian community in Italy at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Italian Republic. The Apostolic Exarchate in Italy was represented by Protosyncellus Fr. Teodosio Hren.

This was reported by the Apostolic Exarchate in Italy.
The minister expressed his gratitude to the Ukrainian community for its active support of Ukrainian military personnel, the provision of humanitarian aid, and care for those who were forced to leave their homes because of the war. He also highlighted the importance of Ukrainians in Italy preserving their native language, culture, and traditions while shaping a modern and dignified image of Ukraine abroad.
Participants discussed an array of important issues with the minister, from consular affairs to initiatives aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s presence in Italy. In particular, they discussed the idea of creating a Ukrainian cultural center—a space that would become a hub for unity, mutual support, and self-expression.
“It was a heartfelt and meaningful meeting. I was impressed by the deep commitment, responsibility, and concern of people who, despite the distance, help Ukraine every day. The conversation left me feeling grateful and very proud. Ukrainians in Italy are a real force. Their contribution to Ukraine’s struggle for freedom and independence is invaluable,” said Andrii Sybiha.
