The Exarch of Kharkiv Prayed with Children Deprived of Parental Care
On November 10, as part of the Day of Prayer for Orphans, Bishop Vasyl Tuchapets, Exarch of Kharkiv and Head of the Social Service Department of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, together with Fr. Andriy Nasinnyk, Syncellus for Social Service of the Exarchate, visited children who have been left without parental care.
This was reported by the press service of the Kharkiv Exarchate.
During the meeting, the bishop prayed together with the children for God’s blessing upon all orphans in Ukraine, their guardians and educators, as well as for the gift of a just peace for our homeland.
“Every year, on the second Sunday of November, we offer special prayers for orphaned children. But not only on this day—we constantly pray and try to help those who, for various reasons, including war, have lost their parents,” emphasized Bishop Vasyl.
The Exarch also encouraged the children to pray daily and invited them and their guardians to participate in events and initiatives organized by the parishes of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Kharkiv.
