Stryi Eparchy Raises Over UAH 2 Million for the National Program “Save a Limb”
The national program “Save a Limb” has published a report on the utilization of funds donated by the Stryi Eparchy.
This was reported by the press service of the Stryi Eparchy.
Earlier this year, the faithful of the eparchy contributed to this program, which aims to assist patients with limb injuries. The initiative raised UAH 2,130,105, enabling the implementation of critical medical projects and helping to save the lives and health of numerous defenders of Ukraine.
“When I learned about the Save a Limb program, I was convinced that this was a cause we had to support. I was confident our faithful would accept this initiative willingly, and their response exceeded all my expectations,” said Bishop Taras Senkiv, the Reverend Bishop of Stryi.
According to the report, the funds were allocated to surgical procedures and the rehabilitation of patients. Additionally, a portion of the funds was used to support patients requiring long-term therapy and rehabilitation after their injuries.
The initiator of the “Save a Limb” program, Mr. Serhiy Soshynsky, stated, “Thanks to the efforts of the eparchy, we have been able to save 50 limbs of defenders, gifts given to them by God.”
The rescued defenders also expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support.
