Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko thanked the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church for cooperation

Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko expressed his gratitude to the Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, for his cooperation.

“Please accept my sincere appreciation from me, the team of the Ministry of Health, and the medical community of Ukraine for many years of cooperation, and especially for the great support and help provided by the UGCC in these difficult times for all of us and our country,” the minister wrote in the Thank You Letter.

“We remember,” the text follows, “and appreciate your progressive stance on the clergy’s support of measures aimed at protecting the population from hazardous infectious diseases.”

Furthermore, Mr. Lyashko is especially grateful for telling the truth about the war in Ukraine to the world, helping medical institutions, and developing medical chaplaincy.

Now, more than ever, it is essential to provide psychological support for sick people and medical professionals so that they remain effective and stable.

The Minister expressed hope for growing cooperation with the UGCC to strengthen the mental and physical health of Ukrainians and to primarily restore the medical system and the country.
