Intellectual game “Tolk z glusdu” brings together young people from the Paris Eparchy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Luxembourg
On Saturday, February 7, the 12th intellectual game “Tolku z Hluzdu” (The Point of Reason) took place in Luxembourg, bringing together teams of young people from nearly 20 cities and parishes of the eparchy across four countries: France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. Representatives of Plast in Belgium and France, the youth commission of the Paris Eparchy, and a team of clergy led by Bishop Ihor Rantsya also joined the game.
This was reported by the communications office of the Paris Eparchy.
The Plast Belgium team won first place. Second place went to the Secret Service youth commission team, and third place to the Leuven Lions.
The game lasted over three hours and was held at the John XXIII Center—the pastoral center and seminary of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Luxembourg. It consisted of three rounds of 11 questions requiring knowledge of geography, history, creativity, and even humor. Between rounds, participants had the opportunity to communicate, get acquainted, and exchange experiences, while the results were calculated by a certified jury.
The gathering began with a joint prayer service and the Divine Liturgy at the church in Gasperich, led by Bishop Ihor Rantsya in concelebration with the clergy of the eparchy. In his homily, the bishop emphasized the importance of freedom and responsibility for one’s own decisions, calling on young people to seek knowledge and spiritual growth, especially during Lent.
Former leaders of the eparchy, Bishop Hlib Lonchyna and Metropolitan Borys Gudziak, addressed the participants via video message. Before the game began, the young people also had time to walk around the city, have lunch, and view architectural landmarks.
