Feast Day of the Parish of Saints Volodymyr and Olha in Woodville
On Sunday, July 6, the parish of Saints Volodymyr and Olha in Woodville (South Australia) celebrated its church feast day. The celebration included a Divine Liturgy and a parish lunch attended by parishioners and guests.

The Divine Liturgy on this occasion was led by the Protosynkellos of the Melbourne Eparchy, Fr. Simon Ckuj. He was concelebrated by Fr. Zenon Racki, administrator of Saints Volodymyr and Olha Parish in Woodville; Fr. Taras Gorpynyak, administrator of the Our Lady of Protection Parish in Wayville; and Deacon Wolodymyr Demchinsky.
In his homily, Fr. Simon Ckuj referred to the figures of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Volodymyr and Princess Olha, describing the spiritual context of Kyivan Rus’ at the time. The preacher drew a parallel between the Apostle Paul and Prince Volodymyr, emphasising both of their deep conversions to Christ and their zealous services in spreading the Christian faith among their respective people.
After the joint prayer, the celebrations continued in the parish hall of Patriarch Joseph, where parishioners and guests had the opportunity to share a festive lunch.
Priests from other parishes also joined the celebration: Fr. Mykhailo Byk from St. Michael the Archangel parish of the UOC and Fr. Yevhen Kvasniuk from St. Andrew the First-Called parish of the UOC, along with parishioners who came to support the festive event.
