After the unveiling, Bishop Valdomiro Koubetch was welcomed by the community. Mr. Pedro Bohdanovych and his wife presented him with bread and salt, while the community’s children greeted him with a Ukrainian poem, a song, and a bouquet of flowers.

Metropolitan Valdomiro presided over the Divine Liturgy, concelebrated by local priests. Among those in attendance were Sister Deonisia Diadio, Provincial Superior of the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate, and Sister Marcia Nahirna. The Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Brazil, Mr. Marian Tchaikovsky, and the President of the Ukrainian-Brazilian Central Representation, Mr. Vitorio Sorotiuk, also took part in the service.

Following the liturgy, guests were invited to the community hall for further celebrations. The program included a video presentation featuring photos and stories from the parish’s history. Entertainment was provided by the Poltava Ukrainian Folklore Group, which performed traditional folk dances, as well as bandura players from the Fialka Chapel.
