“We are grateful to the Lord for every monk and nun whom He bestows upon our Church”: Head of the UGCC on the Day of Consecrated Persons
On the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church celebrates the Day of Consecrated Persons. On this occasion, the Father and Head of the UGCC, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, congratulated the monks and nuns.

“Our Church celebrates a special day today — a day of prayer for monasticism, for consecrated persons,” said the Father and Head of the UGCC at the end of the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on February 2 at the Patriarchal Cathedral. “We are grateful to the Lord for every monk and nun whom He bestows on our Church.”
“May the Lord God bless all the consecrated persons of our Church, grant them the light of the Holy Spirit, and comfort for their people, so that they may be beacons in these difficult times. Many and blessed years!” His Beatitude Sviatoslav wished.
Furthermore, the Head of the Church reminded that on February 4, the All-Church Monastic Pilgrimage to the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Kyiv is to be held: “We will rejoice and praise the Lord God for the vocation to the monastic state!”
