UGCC Gives Thanks to God for the Gift of Life on the Day of Annunciation
On the feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church expresses gratitude for God’s gift of life. To mark the occasion, the UGCC Commission on Pastoral Health Care called for daily prayers to preserve every life, especially the unborn, and for the enlightenment and conversion of all those responsible for preserving the value of life.
“Let us pray for our defenders, particularly for the wounded and captured, that they may return home alive and full of joy and trust in God’s Providence. May we pray for the repentance and conversion of Ukrainian society, so that it may adopt a healthy stance on life rooted in moral principles and the Word of God,” said the chairperson of the Commission, Sr. Sevastiana Karvatska.
“On behalf of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and the UGCC Commission on Pastoral Healthcare, we wish all the people of Ukraine a just peace and abundant God’s grace so that life in Ukraine may revive and prosper,” the head of the Commission wished.
