The Sisters of St. Basil the Great Elected a New Superior and Provincial Council
On September 11, during the XIII Provincial Chapter of the Province of the Holy Trinity of the Sisters of St. Basil the Great in Ukraine, held in Zarvanytsia, a new Provincial Council was elected. Sr. Sevastiana Karvatska was elected the Provincial Superior.

The new Provincial Council members are:
Sr. Yefrema Mandzyuk — Deputy Provincial Superior and First Provincial Councillor;
Sr. Inokentia Bratsiv — Second Provincial Councillor;
Sr. Theophana Kaminska — Third Provincial Councillor;
Sr. Anastasia Stulkivska — Fourth Provincial Councillor.
“Dear Sisters, we wish you the generous gifts of the Holy Spirit and inspiration in leading the province during this difficult time. May the Lord be your strength and support. On behalf of all the sisters of the Order, please accept our assurance of our prayers for you and our openness to cooperation for the glory of God. ‘The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it!’ (1 Thessalonians 5:24),” the sisters of the Order of St. Basil the Great stated.
The election of the new Provincial Council of the Basilian Sisters took place during the XIII Provincial Chapter, being held from September 8 to 12. Thirty-five sisters from Ukraine and abroad are participating in the chapter. The facilitator of the chapter is the Provincial Superior of the Province of the Mother of God in Slovakia, Mother Josifa Šimová. Also present at the chapter are the General Superior, Mother Emmanuela Vishka, and her deputy, Sister Sevastiana Zinkevich.
