The Head of the UGCC appoints Father Lubomyr Yavorsky as patriarchal economist for another five years
The Father and Head of the UGCC, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, with the consent of the Permanent Synod of the UGCC, prolonged the decree naming Fr. Lubomyr Yavorsky as Patriarchal Economist until 2028.
“Following the expiration of the decree from September 25, 2018 (Exh. BA 18/323), naming you Patriarchal Economist, we, by the power vested in us, having received the consent of the Permanent Synod held on September 14, 2023, in Rome, under Decision No. 3, and in accordance with the norm of can. 122, § 1 of the Codes of Canon Law and the prescription of can. 16 of the Canons of Particular Law of the UGCC, we appoint you Patriarchal Economist for a five-year term,” the decree reads.
The Head of the UGCC commended the ministry of Fr. Lubomyr, which he performs with great dedication, as stated in the naming decree. “We pray to the Lord for all the graces you need to fulfill your duties properly,” added the Primate.
