Santa Sofia in Rome Sends Regular Humanitarian Relief to Ukraine
The Religious Society of Santa Sofia in Rome, in cooperation with the Pontifical Distributor of Alms, Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, continues its humanitarian mission to support Ukrainians who suffered from the war. On November 9, another 20-ton truck with humanitarian aid was loaded and sent from Santa Sofia’s courtyard to Kharkiv.
This was reported by the press service of the Santa Sofia Society.
Volunteers, parishioners of the procathedral and sympathetic Italians join hands to collect warm clothes, food, medicines and other necessary items. This support becomes a salvation for those who, in the third year of the full-scale invasion, are surviving in a humanitarian crisis where an acute shortage of basic resources is becoming a reality of everyday life.
“We express our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the collection, sorting and loading of essential items for Ukrainians. We pray for all the benefactors and people of goodwill who donate their time and resources,” the statement reads.
