Retreat for the Wives of Priests of the Philadelphia Archeparchy
From October 19 to 21, 2025, a retreat for the wives of priests of the Philadelphia Archeparchy took place at St. Josaphat Seminary in Washington, organized by Ulyana Dziurakh.

The retreat leader was Mrs. Iryna Galadza — a catechist, active community member, and the wife of the late Mitred Archpriest Roman Galadza, longtime pastor of St. Elias Ukrainian Catholic Church in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. She is the mother of six children and a high school teacher who generously shared her own spiritual and life experience.
In her reflections and conversations, Mrs. Galadza was open to sincere dialogue, encouraging participants to share the joys and challenges of parish life and to reflect on paths of personal growth. The central message of her meditations was a reminder that a priest’s wife is called to find her own unique vocation — both within the parish and beyond it.
During the retreat, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Fr. Mykola Dziurakh, who, in his homily, emphasized the importance of guarding one’s heart as God’s gift and nurturing peace, joy, and grace within it.
The participants expressed heartfelt gratitude to Metropolitan Borys Gudziak for his support of these spiritual days.
