On Sunday, October 19, St. Volodymyr Parish (Canberra) joyfully welcomed Fr. Ihor Holovko, Syncellus for the Clergy of the Melbourne Eparchy, and Protodeacon Edward Kostraby from Melbourne to their church. This visit was an important spiritual moment for the community.

The Divine Liturgy was led by Fr. Ihor Holovko, concelebrated by the parish administrator, Fr. Vasyl Motrichenko, and Protodeacon Edward. Numerous faithful participated in the service. The joint prayer was for peace in Ukraine and the world, God’s blessing for the parish families, and the community’s spiritual unity.

After the Liturgy, parishioners had the opportunity to talk with the guests, share their thoughts and experiences, and thank them for their joint prayer and support.

A post on the parish’s Facebook page noted that the meeting was “marked by a deep sense of spiritual upliftment and peace”, and the Liturgy itself was “a reminder that the power of faith is in unity, in open hearts and mutual support”.
