Head of UGCC congratulated Bishop Yaroslav Pryriz on the 35th anniversary of his priestly ordination
The Father and Head of the UGCC, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, personally and on behalf of the Synod of Bishops of the UGCC, congratulated Bishop Yaroslav Pryriz, Eparch of Sambir-Drohobych and head of the Theological Department of the UGCC, on the 35th anniversary of his ordination as a priest.
“With You, we recall, with prayerful gratitude, the moment when you received the gift of priesthood from Bishop Mykhailo Sabryga’s hands during the time our Church was underground,” the greeting reads.
“Your faithful pastoral ministry has yielded many fruits for our Church, which, having valiantly emerged from the underground, became visibly present in its churches,” the Head of the Church noted.
Congratulating him on the anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood, received on December 4, 1988, the principal did not omit to mention his monastic feat in the Order of the Most Holy Redeemer, into which he entered as a priest, as well as his theological studies in the Eternal City.
“Accept our heartfelt wishes for abundant blessings from God, the guidance of the Holy Spirit in all your endeavors for the glory of God, and for the well-being of our Church and our people. May you be blessed with many fruitful and joyful years ahead,” His Beatitude Sviatoslav wished Bishop Yaroslav.
