Eva-Maria came from Bakhmut, where intense hostilities are ongoing. She and her grandmother found their home here. Thank you for making us able to help people like them. Thank you for the international Christian solidarity that saves, opens doors, and makes the impossible possible. Share this image of Ukraine’s hope with your brothers around the world.

The Father and Head of the UGCC, His Holiness Sviatoslav, addressed Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly in Bryukhovychi on Tuesday, December 6, during the consecration of a residence for internally displaced persons, renovated with the support of the Knights of Columbus organization.

His Beatitude Sviatoslav noted that we, as Christians, must open not only homes but also souls and hearts to all who have become victims of unjust military aggression.

Therefore, he noted that the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, with the help of the Knights of Columbus, was able to repair and open this building.

Patrick Kelly thanked His Beatitude Sviatoslav for the invitation to this house and shared his impressions of his visit to Ukraine.

“We saw people of tremendous courage, endurance, and a glimpse of hope. I felt some apprehension throughout the conversation that the West would leave Ukraine behind and get focused on other problems. Thus, I am here today to assure you on behalf of all my fellow brothers-knights that we are with and will not abandon you. We share the grief you are going through.”, said the leader of Knights of Columbus.
