As stated in the greeting, these days, the UGCC is prayerfully thanking the Lord God for the gift of the first Liturgy, which was celebrated in Greece by Fr. Serhiy Kaleher.

“It is with great pleasure that I recall these distant times of the formation and formation of the parish. I still remember such lively worship services and believers who became the motivation for creating a community deeply rooted in Christ in the future,” wrote the Head of the UGCC.

The Primate thanked the parish for the prayers and aid provided to war-wounded Ukrainians. “Your support eases their suffering and gives them hope that God is always with them. May your efforts be greatly rewarded by God for everything you have done for your homeland. I entrust your hard-working hands and compassionate hearts to pray for our final victory in this brutal war of aggression,” the spiritual leader wrote.

The Primate noted that the celebration of St. Nicholas Parish in Athens takes place each year alongside the beautiful holiday of Mother’s Day.

Therefore, he congratulated the mothers, sisters, wives, and grandmothers from the parish on this double holiday.

“Pray and work, grow in love, so that these gifts may bear the best possible fruit for you and future generations,” His Beatitude Sviatoslav wished.
