“Even the Smallest Donation Matters,” His Beatitude Sviatoslav Calls for Support for Zhyve Television
His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, called on clergy and faithful to support Zhyve Television — the Church’s official media platform, which ensures the UGCC’s presence in the information space and unites thousands of the faithful in prayer in Ukraine and abroad.
“Our Church is active in many parts of Ukraine and the world, in diverse social contexts and settings. A vital instrument of this presence is Zhyve Television. For many people — especially those living in occupied territories — it is often the only opportunity to participate fully in the spiritual life of the Church. Through this channel, our young men and women serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine pray. All of us are able to join high-quality broadcasts of church services,” the Primate emphasized.
His Beatitude also spoke about the development of various media initiatives and programs for different audiences — from prayer initiatives to catechetical and children’s programming: “Today we have numerous media projects, including ‘Open Church’ and ‘Good Conversation.’ Every day, tens of thousands of our faithful pray through the Live Rosary. We take special care of our children. I would mention, in particular, the online catechetical school ‘Ray of Light’ and a special program for young children called ‘Svitlyk’ (‘Little Ray’).”

Concluding his address, the Head of the Church appealed for financial support for Zhyve Television, emphasizing the importance of even the smallest donation: “We kindly ask all our faithful and benefactors to support this important ministry of the Church. Even the smallest donation — a widow’s mite — will help us better serve those who so desperately need their Church to be with them always and everywhere. May the donor’s hand never be empty. We sincerely thank you all.”
