“Today we should be united for our victory”: Head of the UGCC to Primate of the OCU Epifaniy on the Occasion of the Anniversary

In his congratulatory letter, His Beatitude Sviatoslav noted that all significant dates come from the Lord, who is the source of our life and the giver of salvation. Then he offered prayers and gratitude to God for the gift of His Beatitude Epifaniy’s life and his fruitful priestly ministry.

The Head of the UGCC remarked that celebrating the 45th anniversary during the great war, the Metropolitan of Kyiv and All of Ukraine continues to strongly denounce the enemy. Through the word of God, he aims to instill hope in people for the Lord’s presence in their suffering, strengthening their faith in victory and a just peace: “May the Almighty grant you support in this noble ministry, for which you will be thanked by present and future generations of Ukrainians,” His Beatitude Sviatoslav wished.

Furthermore, the Head of the UGCC addressed His Beatitude Epifaniy, emphasizing the importance of unity for the victory and preservation of brotherly love: “We are happy that through our joint meetings, appeals, and prayers we can heal the wounds of our people inflicted by the war and testify to the world community that Ukraine is a country of free citizens who believe in God, know how to state the truth, and are ready to give their lives for their native land, which He blessed.”

“Please accept our wishes of abundant God’s blessings, the help of the Holy Spirit in all your works for the glory of God, and the well-being of your native people. May the Most Holy Theotokos and the saints of the Ukrainian land be your intercessors in all your deeds for the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ,” the Father and Head of the UGCC wished the Head of the OCU.
