The 13th Military Chaplain Training Course Begins in Kyiv
On March 10, the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv hosted the ceremonial opening of the 13th training and professional development course for military chaplains. What makes this course unique is that, for the first time, representatives of the Military Chaplaincy Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine are participating together.
The Military Chaplaincy Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
At the beginning of the training, the students were greeted by representatives of religious organizations whose chaplains are joining the ranks of the chaplaincy community, the leadership and deputy heads of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, as well as the command and teaching staff of the relevant department of the university.
The course program is aimed at deepening knowledge of pastoral care in combat conditions, studying the peculiarities of military psychology and the norms of international humanitarian law. Several weeks of intensive training, exchange of experience, and practical development of professional skills in military chaplaincy lie ahead for the chaplains and border guards.
