The episcopal ordination of Father Peter Holiney, elected Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Kolomyia of the UGCC, will take place on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Kolomyia. The Divine Liturgy begins at 11 AM.

The Liturgy will be presided over by the Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, the main consecrator. Bishop Vasyl Ivasyuk, Eparch of Kolomyia, and Bishop Dionysiy Lyakhovych, Apostolic Exarch in Italy, are the co-consecrators.
The day prior, August 19, on the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord according to the Julian calendar, at 6:00 PM the Great Vespers with the Rite of Episcopal Consecration will begin in the cathedral.
